Didn't he hit the longest golf shot ever recorded on the moon?

That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for a certain golf blogger.

Tom: Not sure. I know Alan Shepard was the first to hit a golf shot on the moon, a one-handed six iron that reportedly traveled 206 yards.

The Armchair Golfer is correct. Alan Shepard hit the only golf ball, at least so far, on the moon. I didn't know how far it went...Shepard's comments were "miles and miles."
