MICHELLE WIE IS TIED for the 54-hole lead with Cristie Kerr at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. One shot back are Song-Hee Kim, Jiyai Shin and Paula Creamer. Wie shot a 70 in the third round. She and Kerr are 10-under par.

Michelle Wie has been a star in women's golf for years without a win and she appears now poised to remedy that oversight. She's one of the few people in golf that people will actually pay money to see her play; I, for one, hope that she breaks through today.
Michelle is only 20 years old and Tiger Woods didnt win his first tournament until he was that age. I think we need to give her a few more years before we make an assessment on whether she lived up to her potential.
