Lots of tv coverage? All the coverage in the USA is on ESPN! That means cable tv and for me nothing because I have Comcast limited cable which does not include ESPN. I am SO disappointed! And angry. Why isn't CBS carrying the Open?

CBS does telecast a lot of golf, but I can never remember them covering the British Open in my lifetime. It's always been ABC and now, their partner, ESPN. Last year TNT had the early rounds and it was a TNT/ABC combo on the weekend.

Okay, ABC. So why isn't ABC carrying the broadcast on the weekend? ABC has no sports on Saturday and Honda Indy car racing on Sunday. That must be it. Indy car racing is more popular?

ABC is offering coverage on Saturday and Sunday afternoons according to my listings. Not sure if it is live or a replay/highlights of earlier action. Regardless, ESPN is not the only carrier.

I just took another quick look, and ESPN has exclusive rights in US for all the coverage. If anyone knows of ABC coverage, please let us know and include a link. I couldn't find ABC coverage, except, perhaps, something that appears to be a highlight show.

"LOTS OF COVERAGE" ????? LET'S TELL IT LIKE IT IS: " . . . S LONG AS U GET ESPN!!!!!!" SHAME ON THE R&A FOR RUNNING THE CLOSING THE BRITISH OPEN.

this is an absolute joke!!! I am so pissed off that weekend coverage is not on regular TV. I love waking up early on the weekend and watching the open. Now I can't because I don't waste away my life with cable tv.

I am on vacation in a small mountain town in Colorado rnting a condo and am at the mercy of the owner who does not have a full cable package, which does not incluce ESPN. I was hoping that ABC woudl have the Sat/Sun coverage, but alas they do not. This is bery bad form for ABC. I don't ever recall a major golf tournament ever being covered exclusively by a cable outlet. I don't have internet access that is reliable enough to hook the computer up to the TV so I'm stuck. Thanks a lot ABC... boneheaded decision made to do this.

It's a sad day when not one of the major US (non cable)networks will broadcast the British Open. It has to come down to dollars and cents. Is the economy that bad?!

The best way to protest ABC not covering the british open is to boycott ABC

Worst coverage of any major golf tournament I've ever seen - doesn't come on ABC until that day's play is over and they 'delay' it Saturday for some taped bs, why even watch it.
