Event Notes

Format – The tournament will feature three different match play formats including six four-ball matches on Thursday, six foursome matches on Friday, five morning four-ball matches and five afternoon foursome matches on Saturday, and 12 singles matches on Sunday.

History – This is the 10th edition of the biennial event (contested in non-Ryder Cup years) and the United States holds a 7-1-1 record overall, and a 5-0 record when it is held in the United States.

Captains – United States: Fred Couples, Jay Haas (Assistant) and Davis Love III (Assistant); International: Nick Price, Shigeki Maruyama (Assistant), Mark McNulty (Assistant), Tony Johnstone (Assistant).

Broadcast Notes

Jack’s Place – Normally on display as the spring turns to summer for the PGA TOUR’s Memorial Tournament, Jack Nicklaus’ Muirfield Village takes center stage this week to host the international biennial event.

Live From the Presidents Cup to Broadcast On-site Tuesday-Sunday – LIVE FROM THE PRESIDENTS CUP will broadcast live and on-site at Muirfield Village throughout the week, both prior to and immediately following Presidents Cup matches.

Closing Ceremony Broadcast Live on Golf Channel – The closing ceremony will be broadcast live on Golf Channel immediately following Day 4 coverage on NBC on Sunday.
