Event Notes

Bigger Stage: With the wraparound schedule in effect, the tournament now offers full FedExCup points and a substantially larger purse – $6 million this year compared to $4.5 million in 2012.

Headlining the Field: Angel Cabrera, Zach Johnson, Nick Watney, David Toms, Freddie Jacobson, Hideki Matsuyama, Ryo Ishikawa, Graham DeLaet, Russell Henley, Davis Love III and Vijay Singh.

Event Notes

Modified Course Layout: After getting hit with nine inches of rain in a three-hour span in late July this year, the tournament was forced to create a reconfigured course layout for the event. A combination of the Jones and Jackson courses will make up what will be referred to as the "Champions Course," playing to a par-70 versus the typical par-72 in previous years.

Headlining the Field: Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer, Nick Price, Kenny Perry, Rocco Mediate, Fred Funk, Mark Calcavecchia, Michael Allen, Mark Wiebe, Roger Chapman and Brad Faxon.

Event Notes

No Cut – The 78-player field will compete in a 54-hole format and will play with no cut.

Homecoming for Inbee: The top ranked player in the world, Inbee Park, will compete in front of crowds from her home country this week at the LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship.

Headlining the Field: Inbee Park, Suzann Pettersen, Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson, Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel, Yani Tseng, Beatriz Recari, Azahara Munoz and Jessica Korda.
