One year it's too tough, the next it's to easy. OK the course setup was pretty easy for a U.S. Open but you have to remember that all players had the same conditions. Mcilroy simply played great and blew everyone away.Sam Goblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09129634569281858981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17206449.post-78955597463115421672011-06-20T13:33:11.880-04:002011-06-20T13:33:11.880-04:00John,

Whether or not it was caused by the Rees Jones greens or the soft conditions, I saw way too many balls flying past flags and spinning back.

The setup (how much room was between the first and second cuts?) overall felt like more of a PGA than an US Open. I hope Congressional is out of the rotation for a few years to comeAnonymoushttp://(optional)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17206449.post-70846501115574380562011-06-19T22:05:55.823-04:002011-06-19T22:05:55.823-04:00I suppose there isn't much they could do about...I suppose there isn't much they could do about it because of the rain they received but I felt the pin placements got easier over the weekend. The way McIlroy was putting the ball, I'm not sure it would have made much difference as to who would have won if it was tougher. I would definately like to have seen higher scores though.Johnhttp://golfswingjourney.comnoreply@blogger.com
